CFI presents Volunteer Expo
The Charitable Foundation of the Islands (CFI) presented its 2026 Volunteer Expo on Jan. 28 at The Community House (TCH) on Sanibel. Free and open to public, it offered community members the chance to connect with over 50 local nonprofits, service groups, clubs and organizations. In addition, attendees received the CFI’s new Sanibel-Captiva Volunteer Directory. The CFI thanked everyone who helped to make the expo a great success, including the volunteers who showed up ready to help and nonprofits who shared their missions and inspired new connections. It also expressed its appreciation to the event’s supporters: title sponsor Pfeifer Realty Group; venue sponsor TCH; volunteer directory sponsor R.L.R. Investments; and grant sponsor Lake Michigan Credit Union, which supplied $8,000 in community grants to the participating nonprofits.
