SCUCC to host workshop program
A workshop program, “A Council of All Beings,” will be held on Jan. 12 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. at the Sanibel Congregational United Church of Christ, at 2050 Periwinkle Drive, Sanibel.
Attendees will co-create a Council of All Beings, where they will temporarily step aside from their human identity and speak on behalf of another life-form. Sitting in the council together, attendees will speak of their concerns, describe the challenges they face and offer their unique gifts to the humans.
The workshop program will be enhanced by a guided meditation, songs, mask-making with natural objects and craft supplies, and teachings from the Work That Reconnects.
The cost is a donation on a sliding scale of $10-35. After paying for snacks and the needed materials, the remaining donations will go toward buying native plants for the church’s butterfly garden.
