CCP to host seasonal cruise as fundraiser
Tickets are open for the Captiva Community Panel’s (CCP) Annual “Welcome Back” Cruise.
The 2025-26 season event will take place on Dec. 1 aboard the Captiva Cruises’ Lady Chadwick. Attendees will depart at 4:15 p.m. from McCarthy’s Marina on Captiva and return at 6:15 p.m.
“It’s a way for community members to get back together and socialize with each other, and do it in a nice setting,” Panel Member and Development Committee Chair Margarethe Thye-Miville said.
The proceeds from the event will support the CCP.
“At the same time, it’s a slight fundraiser,” she said.
Attendees will enjoy hors d’oeuvres by Cantina Captiva, the Keylime Bistro, RC Otter’s Island Eats, Sunshine Seafood Cafe and Wine Bar, and the restaurants at the ‘Tween Waters Inn & Marina.
“It’s always delicious,” Thye-Miville said.
There will also be refreshments.
“It’s an open bar,” she said.
During the cruise, CCP members will talk about the organization’s work and answer questions.
“We give information about the Captiva Community Panel,” Thye-Miville said.
In addition to the food sponsors, Bank of Islands and Captiva Cruises are supporting the event.
“I’m very grateful for their generous support, and for everyone who is supporting by attending,” she said.
Tickets are a $125 donation per person.
The community is encouraged to reserve a spot.
“It’s having a good time, while supporting a good cause,” Thye-Miville said. “By coming to the event, you are supporting what the Captiva Community Panel stands for.”
