City: Sanibel Boat Ramp use requires permit
The city of Sanibel reminded customers who wish to use the Sanibel Boat Ramp on July 4 that the launching/retrieving of boats and the parking of vehicles with trailers requires a city permit on holidays and weekends. It added that the requirement for boat ramp permits is strictly enforced by the city.
The fees for Sanibel beach parking and boat ramp permits are as follows:
– Resident “A” $14 resident/property owner (beach)
– Resident “AC” $113 resident/property owner (beach and boat ramp)
– Non-Resident “B” $300 non-resident/non-property owner (beach)
– Non-Resident “BC” $399 non-resident/non-property owner (beach and boat ramp)
– Transfer or reissue $3 (resident and non-resident)
Beach parking and boat ramp permits may be obtained from the Recreation Department at the Sanibel Recreation Center, at 3880 Sanibel-Captiva Road, Sanibel. The center is open today, July 3, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, contact the Recreation Department at 239-472-0345.
