Coco y Cabana is new addition to The Village Shops
Owner and founder of the fashion company Pavanó, Paola Noguera recently opened a boutique on Sanibel called Coco y Cabana, found in The Village Shops, at 2340 Periwinkle Way, Suite G-2.
The shop features brands from around the world, including attire and more, and it embraces Noguera’s vision for supporting woman-owned companies and organizations that give back to the community.
“We need to help woman out in climbing the entrepreneur ladder,” she said. “We have to empower one another more than ever before, whether being a mom and lending a supportive ear or hand or a woman on a mission to be entrepreneur. We can go further if we have likeminded woman along the way to help guide us.”
A Sanibel resident with a Colombian background, Noguera studied fashion design and manufacturing. In 2004, she established Pavanó to accentuate the style of women with city chic sensibilities, from swimwear and gowns, to shoes and handbags. The line’s identity is based on value and substance, and Noguera has been inventive with her creativity and ability to produce clothing that makes her Latin roots relevant to the creation of each design.
“I’m passionate about woman. I like the idea of catering to a real woman, with curves, and molding it to fit her and to enhance their confidence,” she said, adding that is determined to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
“I wouldn’t be where I am today if I didn’t know my dreams. I am determined to conquer my goals,” Noguera said, noting that she hopes to open a second location and launch a Coco y Cabana line that caters to the islands. “That is what I want to translate — that if you know what your dreams are, you know where to go.”
