Sanibel Captiva Community Bank sponsors nonprofit education seminar hosted by Charitable Foundation of the Islands
Sanibel Captiva Community Bank is sponsoring a nonprofit education seminar featuring nationally recognized fundraising expert Lynne Wester, providing nonprofit professionals, board members and volunteers from across Southwest Florida with an opportunity to gain practical fundraising insights and strengthen their organizations.
Hosted by the Charitable Foundation of the Islands, the seminar, “The Future of Fundraising Is… What Matters,” will be held Tuesday, Nov. 17, at the Marriott Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa.
Wester, founder and principal of the Donor Relations Group, is a nationally respected author, speaker and consultant who helps nonprofit organizations build stronger donor relationships and effective fundraising programs.
The half-day program is designed to help nonprofit leaders navigate an increasingly complex fundraising environment while focusing on the strategies and relationships that drive long-term success. Attendees will gain practical tools and actionable ideas they can bring back to their organizations.
“Strong nonprofits are essential to a strong community,” said Amy McQuagge, vice president and director of marketing and community outreach at Sanibel Captiva Community Bank. “As a community bank, we want to support nonprofit organizations in ways that go beyond writing a check. We’re proud to help bring programs like this to Southwest Florida because they provide nonprofit leaders with valuable knowledge, fresh perspectives and meaningful connections.”
The bank’s support of the seminar is part of its ongoing commitment to investing in the strength and sustainability of local nonprofit organizations. Since its founding in 2003, the bank has contributed more than $5 million to over 400 charitable causes throughout the region. In addition, employees volunteer nearly 1,000 hours annually, including teaching financial literacy through the bank’s Smart Cents program, and nearly 20% serve in leadership roles with local nonprofit organizations.
Doors open at 7:30 a.m. for registration, networking and breakfast, with the program running from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Registration is $50 per person.
