‘Let Your Light Shine’ at October Messy Church
Children and families are invited to “Let Your Light Shine” at the next Messy Church on Sunday, Oct. 18, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at St. Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church, 2304 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel.
The evening’s main activity will be pumpkin carving, (pumpkins and carving tools provided) giving families an opportunity to create cheerful, glowing pumpkins together. Participants will also explore a variety of hands-on stations featuring light-themed crafts, activities, prayer and conversation.
Through activities children will discover how they can reflect God’s love and bring hope, kindness and joy to others. Volunteers at each station will invite children and adults to share their thoughts and stories as they explore the evening’s message: “Let your light shine before others.”
Messy Church is an informal, interactive experience designed for children and adults to enjoy together. Each gathering includes creative activities, a brief celebration with music, a Bible story and prayer, and a complimentary dinner.
All ages are welcome, and participants do not need to be members of St. Michael’s or any church to attend. Dinner and all activities are included.
