Putting generosity into action
The Charitable Foundation of the Islands (CFI) is honored to recognize Sam Boren and Steve King as the 2026 Spirit of Generosity Champions.
Boren and King are underwriting this year’s Generosity Breakfast, allowing every dollar from ticket and table sales to go directly to CFI’s Community Impact Fund. Their support will help provide resources to local families, nonprofits, and community initiatives when they need them most.
From conservation and workforce housing to small-business support and nonprofit leadership, Boren and King have invested in the people and organizations that make Sanibel and Captiva such special places.
Boren also serves on CFI’s Board of Directors, helping guide the foundation’s work throughout the islands. Together, she and King continue to show how thoughtful giving can create lasting connections and meaningful change.
