Peters family recognized as Members of the Month
The City of Sanibel Recreation Department would like to recognize the Members of the Month: Kurt and Nilou Peters.
Kurt and Nilou Peters have been Sanibel property owners since 1986. In 2009 they became full-time residents of the island and members of the Sanibel Recreation Center. The Peters joined the recreation center to benefit from all of the cardiovascular and resistance equipment in the weight room. By using the weight room on a regular basis they have been able to maintain a healthy weight, improve their cardiovascular systems and fitness levels, as well as prevent any diseases related to inactivity.
The Peters also enjoy making new friends at the facility. When asked about the recreation center, Peters responded, “We find the recreation center staff to be friendly, helpful, and responsive to the members, and the community. It is a terrific facility.”
Kurt and Nilou are both retired physicians from New Jersey. They are thrilled to live on Sanibel and to be a part of the community.
