Brown to participate in JA’s Leaders on the Green tournament
Sanibel resident Steve Brown, Jr. and the Madden Research Loop has taught Economics for Success, a Junior Achievement program to eighth graders at The Sanibel School. The students learn about personal finance and the importance of identifying education and career goals based on the student’s skills, interests and values. It also demonstrates the economic benefits of staying in school. Junior Achievement’s goal is to reach more students in the Sanibel school system.
This year, Brown – also a Junior Achievement board member – is participating in the Junior Achievement “Leaders on the Green” Golf Tournament, to be held on Oct. 14 at The Sanctuary Golf Club.
“This charity golf tournament has been in existence since 2006, with a total of more than $314,000 raised for Junior Achievement to date,” said D. Michael Sherman, CEO/Chairman of Dawson Companies and tournament chair. “This event continues to be strongly supported by individuals and the business community even during the challenging economic times to support the economic education of students.”
The event continues to be an exclusive, team limited client entertainment and networking event.
