Sanibel Rec Center to host lifeguard challenge
The Sanibel Recreation Center will host an American Red Cross Lifeguard Challenge Course from 4 to 8 p.m. June 16 and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 17. Upon completion of this challenge, participants will be re-certified as professional rescuers in lifeguarding, first aid and adult, child and infant CPR/AED.
The cost of the course is $100 for recreation center members and $125 for non-members. To participate, you must be at least 15 years old and able to attend all class sessions. Call the recreation center at 472-0345 for swimming ability prerequisites. Class size is limited, so register now to ensure a place in the challenge.
