Turner’s hole-in-one helps capture Cape Coral Cup

The Inaugural Cape Coral Cup Mini Golf Tournament to benefit the United Way of Lee County was great fun, with more than 100 golfers hitting the greens at Mike Greenwell’s in Cape Coral on Sunday.
Cape Coral resident Amber Turner took home the green jacket and Naples resident Zach Martsolf took home the green putter.
It was an exciting tournament end, with nine golfers teeing off at hole #13 for a tie-breaker where Amber Turner shot a hole-in-one to win the green jacket and clinch the medals for her team as winners of the adult team award for the noon tee time.
Door prize winners were Mike Welter, who won a round trip excursion for two on the Key West Express, as well as Andrew Hartzell and Brandon Hendrick, both of whom won rounds of golf for two at Coral Oaks Golf Course.
Event organizers would like to thank sponsors of the event, which included DCB Design Apparel & Embroidery, Publix Super Markets, A-1 Trophies & Awards, Key West Express and Coral Oaks Golf Course.
