Canterbury School announces Cougar Golf Classic
Get those golf clubs out of the garage and get ready for a great day on the links. A hole-in-one could win you a new 2011 Chevy Equinox, courtesy of Estero Bay Chevrolet.
Join in on the fun at the Canterbury School Cougar Golf Classic, being held on Sunday, Oct. 24 at The Colony Golf & Bay Club in Bonita Springs. The modified scramble with four-person teams begins with registration and a continental breakfast at 8 a.m. and a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
Proceeds from the outing benefit Canterbury’s financial aid program. This year, more than $1 million in financial aid was given to about 20 percent of the students attending the college preparatory school.
Anyone making a hole-in-one at the designated hole will win the new automobile. The entry fee includes a goody bag, greens fees, the use of a cart, on-course beverages and lunch. Prizes will be awarded on all par 3 and par 5 holes. The entry fee is $100.
In addition, the school is offering sponsorships ranging from $100 to $5,000.
The tourney will include an auction and raffle with many great items including golf clubs, golf bags and golf packages. You will have an enjoyable day on the links, plus you will help students of promise attend Canterbury School.
Register by Oct. 18 online at www.canterburyfortmyers.org or by calling The Canterbury School at 481-4323, ext. 222.
