Gentry, Buntrock 4-0 evenings highlight Week 5 action

1 min read

Doug Gentry from Bunt’s Ball Busters racked up another 4-0 night and has now completed the first five weeks of the season with only one loss. Unfortunately, the Ball Busters will lose his services for the next three Monday nights as Gentry is headed back to Tennessee to serve as his home town’s Christmas Parade Marshal, as he has for 28 consecutive years.

Bunt’s Ball Busters Captain Bob Buntrock had the only other 4-0 night. Better yet Buntrock removed a small monetary donation from Sanibel Caf owner Richard McCurry when McCurry backed Pete Mindel in an after League match. Mindel shot two handed. Buntrock was limited to shooting one handed but ran the table, made the 8-ball, and collected the cash for his favorite charity. Stop at Sanibel Caf to offer your condolences.

The pre-Christmas 8-Ball Tournament on Saturday, Dec. 19 at American Legion Post 123, has its first five entries: Kip Buntrock, Gator Gates, John Earle, Matt Hall, and Bob Buntrock. The entry fee is $10. The single game, double elimination tournament is open to the first 32 players in with their cash. Sign up and pay at the Legion.
