Sanibel Softball League: The Dunes cracks All Island Glass
Last week’s Game of the Week was All Island Glass at The Dunes that came down to a last-inning thriller.
The Dunes was first to draw blood in the game, going up 2-0 at the end of the first. But All Island Glass felt shatterproof after scoring seven runs in the third inning to take an 8-2 lead. In the end, The Dunes managed to put a crack into All Island Glass in a 14-13 victory.
In other games played last week, the Dirtbaggers – though dirty – lived a clean life squeaking by Doc Ford’s Wrecking Crew, 18-16. The Great White Grill devoured and digested Bailey’s Baggers, 15-11, and Sanctuary Island Electric zapped a win over The Sundial, 25-4.
The upcoming games on Wednesday will be The Dirtbaggers vs. The Sundial as the latter tries to get their first win of the season, and Bailey’s Baggers vs. All Island Glass. Thursday’s games will be The Great White Grill at Biddle’s Bucket and The Dunes against Sanctuary Island Electric. Doc Ford’s will have this week’s bye.
