Rec Center establishes new one day attendance record
On Tuesday, March 24, the Sanibel Recreation Center welcomed 599 visitors, a single day record for the 16 month old facility. It represents the single largest attendance recorded at the Rec Center since its’ doors opened in December 2007. The previous one day record was established in March 2008 when 596 patrons attended the Rec Center in one day.
The Sanibel Recreation Center is located at 3880 Sanibel-Captiva Road. Daily, weekly and annual memberships are available. The Rec Center includes a gymnasium, weight room complete with cardiovascular equipment, tennis courts, locker rooms, outdoor solar heated exercise and lap pools, toddler splash pad, teen room and meeting rooms.
