Is relocating island theatre possible?

To the editor:

We 100 percent agree with Linda Wulff’s letter published in the Jan. 19, 2022, issue of the Island Reporter. We were also saddened that the Island Cinema is going away.

Streaming movies from home can’t compare with the in-house movie going theater experience — big screen, sound and popcorn! Sanibel and Captiva residents and vacationers don’t want to go to Fort Myers for a movie.

We also wonder if perhaps the movie theatre could be relocated to a different space on-island? If anything can be done, please let the public know.

Isn’t there anyone out there who wants to own a movie theater business on Sanibel or Captiva?
