Senators must protect democracy, voting rights
To the editor:
A democracy cannot exist without free and fair elections. Currently, we are witnessing many state voter suppression bills, gerrymandering, intimidation, and other methods and attempts to end fair and free elections. Congress needs to act immediately to implement national standards for federal elections to protect our democracy. The Freedom to Vote Act must be passed.
