Festival of Wreaths is a must go

A new twinkle has been added to Sanibel’s holiday celebration. This past Tuesday, the Shell Islands Garden Club provided dozens of beautiful wreaths – all for sale – in addition to a spread of home baked cookies not seen since you left your mother’s kitchen, all at the beautifully decorated Community House.
I happened on this fete when leaving a fulfilling yoga class. The next room was full of welcoming smiling women, justifiably proud of their handiwork. My husband and I are snowbirds who spend every winter on Sanibel. I don’t recall this event from previous years, but I will not miss it again. And neither should you, because it’s pretty, and tasty, and fun! Thank you, garden clubbers.
