Facing problem is only way to generate change
To the editor:
Many thanks to the Island Reporter for its extensive and frank coverage of the tragic environmental calamity that has hit our island and nearby beaches this summer.
To read the competitor newspaper, which unfortunately does not offer an opinion page, you would hardly know anything was wrong. Who is their audience? And why are they sticking their heads in the sand? That’s not going to help the problem go away.
Facing it, as the Reporter is doing, is the only way to generate change.
