Worry for long-time island visitors

To the editor:

My family has been visiting Sanibel almost every year for 45 years. We are now very worried that the waters around Sanibel will become a dead zone like New Orleans and it may be too late to take corrective action. Our time visiting Sanibel may be very limited.
