Kudos to BIG ARTS
To the editor:
Kudos to BIG ARTS for what they brought to our island with their superb show of
“100 Years of Broadway,” Feb. 11. I’ve never felt an audience so captured by five powerful singers, each whom sang one, or more, songs they had actually performed on Broadway.
They took us through at least 22 gems ranging from, “Old Man River,” “Send in the Clowns,” “Tomorrow,” “Your Feets Too Big,” “Memory from Cats” and hits from Motown, Jersey Boys, Jesus Christ Super Star, and Funny Girl, just to name a few. And they told delightful back stories on their Broadway lives to huge applause.
I doubt if anyone in that audience wasn’t glad they had come. And for me, personally, there was absolutely no other place I would rather have been. Thanks for the music, BIG ARTS.
