Beer in the Bushes a smash at SCCF
To the editor:
Almost 400 partygoers reveled at SCCF’s Beer in the Bushes on Saturday, April 26, sampling craft beer provided by New Belgium Brewing (maker of the popular Fat Tire beer) and casual eats courtesy of several food trucks: Nosh Truck, Ravenous Rhino and Porkin Out BBQ.
Opening band “Have Gun, Will Travel” kicked off the entertainment, setting a casual, laid-back mood, while The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band wrapped up the evening with a rousing “big damn bang.”
Raffle winners John and Denice Beggs, and Sandi Sauls, claimed the two fat-tire bikes hand-painted by island artists Laura Ball and Jaye Boswell, and Bruce Cochrane won the 50/50 Raffle. Thanks to Bank of the Islands for displaying the bicycles and selling raffle tickets.
SCCF gratefully acknowledges event sponsor: The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company.
