To the editor:

I found a link to your article on Sanibel’s Dark Sky Ordinance on the International Dark Sky Association’s website.

I have visited Sanibel many times and have really appreciated the ordinance. The rest of the country is so resistant to limitations on outdoor lighting that I had wondered about the politics of the it.
