CROW thanks the community

2 min read

To the editor,

On behalf of CROW’s Board of Directors, staff and volunteers, I would like to thank everyone who helped make our Woodstork Wine & Art Festival a huge success.

Thank you to our event sponsors Royal Shell, our wine sponsors, West Gulf Management/ The Sanibel Bean, our music sponsor John Grey Painting, our tie-dyed t-shirt sponsor Lifeline Design, and our wine toss sponsor Giggles.

Special thanks go out to Cathy Cola of 50% Off Framing for the incredible amount of time, effort and expense she put into framing so many of the donated artwork pieces and the special Gold Record displays she made for our sponsors.

We also want to especially thank our Superstar Sponsors Jon and Nancy Apmann and Sanibel artist Myra Roberts for their incredibly generous cash contribution to help support the event. Myra has used her talents to support so many worthy causes and we are blessed to have her long-standing and continued support for CROW.

But the event could not take place without the generosity of our entire local artist community. We want to thank all the artists for giving us something special: a piece of themselves. They gave CROW personal expressions of their creativity, their passion, their spirit, their imagination and expressions of their hope for the eternity of art, beauty and nature.

For more than 40 years, CROW’s supports have also demonstrated passion, spirit, imagination and their hope for the eternity of our remarkable wildlife. Thank you to all the contributing artists for helping us further our mission of saving wildlife through compassion, care and education.

We also want to thank the entire team at Trader’s Cafe for the sumptuous buffet, the fabulous wines and their usual impeccable service.

Special thanks to our auctioneer Jean Baer and congratulations to Philip and Roberta Puschel on their winning bid for our live auction featured piece, an original Darryl Pottorf entitles “Unintended Consequences.”

And the final thank you comes from our patients. Over the next year, we anticipate treating over 4,000 sick, injured and orphaned wildlife patients at CROW – and they don’t have Medicare! But it is heartwarming to know that so many others do care.
