Support for Ruane

To the editor,

It is a pleasure to write in support of Kevin Ruane for re-election to the City Council on March 3. He has worked diligently to resolve critical issues confronting the City of Sanibel.

Kevin’s record in financial matters facing the City has been outstanding. In one instance, he urged the City to liquidate its $27,000,000 in investments from a government pool in the state this past year as crises threatened. Thanks to Kevin’s wisdom and work, that money was not lost and is protected for our city government.

Following his plan for his first years in the Council, he worked on environmental issues, quality of life issues, encouraging an on-time, under budget completion of our Recreation Center and many other challenges.

I urge the citizens of Sanibel to study Kevin’s record and, after doing so, to vote to return him to our City Council.
