No personal conflicts
To the editor,
On Jan. 6, Sanibel City Council will be appointing two members to the Planning Commission. There are four candidates who have filed for these two positions.
Two of these candidates are Dr. David Berger and Dr. Phillip Marks. These men have served the Planning Commission well in the past and should be reappointed. To do otherwise would be a disservice to the citizens of Sanibel.
These candidates have no personal conflicts in making decisions related to real estate development and redevelopment, which is especially important in the coming months as the Planning Commission will consider resort redevelopment. They both support Sanibel’s Vision Statement, Sanibel Plan and Land Development Code.
Let’s keep Dr. Berger and Dr. Marks on the Planning Commission.
