Margaret Rose Miller Dodd
Margaret Rose Miller Dodd, 90, of Sanibel Island, Florida, died Dec. 21, 2025. Born February 12, 1935, in Magness Arkansas. Known as Peggie Dodd, her parents were Mynatt L. Miller and Vivian M. Miller of The Dalles, Oregon. She was married on 11 June 1954 to William P. Dodd, Jr at the St Mary’s Episcopal Church in Eugene Oregon and started her life as mother and English Teacher. After her husband, Bill Dodd, completed seminary at Seabury-Western Theological Seminary, Evanston, Illinois in 1962 she began her life-long role as a small community pastor’s wife. Living in communities of Marshall, MI, Montour Falls, NY, Wellsville, NY, Bethlehem PA, and Sanibel Island, FL where she worked as a schoolteacher, bank teller and a librarian. She was an active member of the Sigma Kappa sorority organization and performed numerous charter initiations throughout the US. After Her husband Rev William “Bill” Dodd passed way in 2002 while serving at St Michaels Episcopal Church on Sanibel Island FL she moved to Shell Point retirement center until moving to Wylie TX in 2020 to be closer to family. She is survived by daughter Kathleen Stadler, son William Dodd and her sister Kay Pedersen. She will be interned at St Michaels Episcopal Church on Sanibel Island, Florida.
