Andrew J. Schroder III

Andrew J. Schroder III was born in Philadephia, PA on October 12, 1935 to parents Andrew J. II and Mildred (Dolphin) Schroder. After a long, courageous battle with melanoma, he passed away at his home on December 1, 2014 in Sanibel, FL. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Charlotte (Edwards) Schroder; son Andrew J. Schroder IV; daughter Tracy (Sullivan) Schroder; and his sister, Mary Jane (Reverend James) Hubbard, as well as extended family. Andy achieved many respectable goals during his lifetime. In his youth, between attending Cornell University and Cornell Law School, he joined the Marines. Here he acquired discipline, taught deep sea diving and proudly represented his country. He went on to receive a Masters in Law from Georgetown University and later joined Kraft General Foods where he worked for over twenty-five years. After a move from Wilton, CT in 1994, Andy called Sanibel his home in paradise for the next 20 years. He loved fishing in the gulf and hunting with his beloved german shorthair pointers. He was happily involved in the community and enjoyed the company of his family and many good friends. His old school sensibility and sarcastic sense of humor will truly be missed.
