Evelyn Stott

Evelyn Stott, 92, of Sanibel, passed away on Sept. 28, 1012. She was born Nov. 2, 1919, in Montclaire, N.J., and has been a resident of Sanibel for eight years.
Evelyn loved being a wife and mother always providing and making a pleasant loving environment for her family. She was a member of the Order Eastern Star and Sanibel Community Church. Church activities, cooking and gardening were among her passions in life.
Evelyn leaves behind to cherish her memory her children Reverend Norman Stott Jr. and his wife, three children and four grandchildren of Wray, Colo.; and Britt Stott of Sanibel. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Norman Stott in 1964. She also leaves behind her beloved Jack Russell terrier, Scout.
In the words of her family, Mom was a quiet private person. Her life was one of dedication to the Lord and her family. She will be terribly missed.
A visitation was held on Oct. 2 at Sanibel Community Church, 1740 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel. Pastor Daryl Donovan officiated the the ceremony with a committal service at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers.
A memorial service is being planned for late October or early November at the Sanibel Community Church.
