Al Dobbs
Former Sanibel Police Officer Gaillard Allen “Al” Dobbs of Glen Jean, W.V. passed away on Monday, Dec. 20, 2010 at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, W.V. He was 71.
Born on Sept. 24, 1939 at Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of the late J. Loury and Helen Fogle Dobbs.
Al was a member of the Sun Full Gospel Church, Masonic Lodge #4 A.F.&A.M. of Worthington, Ohio and the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Valley of Fort Myers-Orient of Florida.
Survivors include his wife, Catheline “Joy” Lewis Dobbs; two sons, Daniel Dobbs of Columbus, Ohio and Jerry Dobbs of Fort Myers; and three grandchildren — Danielle Crum, Jessica Dobbs and Patrick Dobbs
Funeral services were held on Dec. 23 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Jessie Parker officiating. Burial was at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill.
