Edith Lapi
Edith Harman Lapi, 95, passed away on March 6, 2009 at her home on Sanibel. She was the widow of Dr. Louis Lapi of Rochester, N.Y.
Mrs. Lapi was the mother of five children: Maria Drumm, Antoinette Vickers (deceased), Edith Tatum, Louis Lapi and Tony Lapi. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
A resident of Sanibel since 1975, she was very involved in philanthropic activities throughout the community, including Teen Challenge, Southwest Florida Symphony and the Sanibel Shell Museum, to name a few. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
A private burial service was held at Memorial Gardens in Fort Myers. There will be a celebration of her life held at a later date.
Edith was a kind and loving person, a wonderful mother and will be missed by all who knew her.
