Clifford Hall
Clifford Hall, 87, of Sanibel died on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009 at Shell Point Hospice Care in Fort Myers.
He was born and raised in Cranston, R.I. the youngest of five children of the late Jeanette and Louis Hall of Cranston. Cliff was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and then served on the Cranston Fire Department and retired with the rank of Deputy Chief.
After retirement, he served as Chief Fire Inspector of Nursing Homes for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the Department of Public Safety.
Cliff has been associated with Sanibel since 1974 and became a permanent resident in 1980. He was very active in the United Church of Christ, the Sanibel Captiva Lions Club, the Sanibel Captiva Republican Club and was a lifetime Mason. Cliff was also active in the Beneficient Congregational Church in Providence, R.I. before moving to Sanibel.
