Investigation into shooting at Del Prado restaurant continues

Cape Coral Police Department are continuing to investigate an early morning shooting at the Waffle House on Del Prado Boulevard South Sunday that left one man wounded.

Officers arrived just before 4 a.m. in response to a physical disturbance involving multiple shots fired, according to a release issued by the CCPD Monday.

The victim of the shooting was located a few blocks from the establishment, with a gunshot wound to the left leg/hip and was taken to a local hospital for treatment, the release states.

Police are looking for two men who police say left in a silver 4-door sedan, possibly a Chevrolet, before police arrived, officials said, adding the license tag number is unknown.

CCPD Major Crimes Unit and Forensics responded.

No video surveillance is available presently.
