Babcock Ranch community holds ‘grand reveal’
More than 600 people, including numerous state, county and local officials, gathered at Babcock Ranch off SR 31 north of the Lee County line Friday for a “grand reveal” of the town-to-be. Infrastructure improvements for the community that one day will include19,500 residences and 6 million square feet of commercial, office and industrial space is well under way, including a 75-megawatt solar energy center being constructed by FPL.
