Tickets still available for St. Patrick’s Day trolley event
An Irish-themed pub crawl will take place on St. Patrick’s Day during the South Cape Hospitality and Entertainment Association’s fifth annual St. Patrick’s Day Trolley Event, featuring 12 participating venues.
Director Karmen Forrester said they hold the St. Patrick’s Day event on the actual holiday, regardless of what day on which it falls.
The trolley usually runs from 7 to 11 p.m., but with St. Paddy’s falling on Sunday, they decided to do a mid-afternoon, early evening event from 3 to 9 p.m.
The 21 and older event is $17 per person. Tickets can be purchased at www.southcapeentertainment.com.
“We still have a decent amount of tickets left,” she said Thursday morning. “They are only able to be purchased online for this event. All electronic tickets.”
Check-in will take place from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at Big John Plaza and in front of Dixie Roadhouse. There also will be a late check-in from 3:30 to 8 p.m. in front of the Dixie.
Participating bars include BackStreets Sports Bar – Thin Mint Shot; Big Blue Brewing – Little Leprechaun; Cruisers – Shamrock Juice; Dixie Roadhouse – the Green Dublin; Monkey Bar – St. Patrick’s Day Jungle Juice; Rack-Em Spirits & Times – Celtic F.C.; Ralph’s Place – Killians; Redfish Point Garden Bar & Grill – Irish Mojito; Remixx Lounge – Purple Zydeco; Rusty’s Raw Bar & Grill – Shamrock Spritzer; Tiki Hut – Green Tea and World Famous Cigar Bar – Going Green.

“We have a limo bus that is going to take the Guns-N-Hoses around,” she said.
Trolleys, which will run nonstop, will take participants to the 12 bars. Participants will have the opportunity to win prizes for trolley trivia, as well as winning an Irish themed gift basket filled with Jameson Irish whiskey, Bailey’s Irish cream and more by visiting every participating bar.
Forrester said everyone usually dresses to the nines in their St. Patrick’s Day gear.
There is a photo booth located in Dolphin Key lobby, providing participants with the opportunity to enter a photo booth contest.
