Arrest made in double homicide

An arrest has been made in the slaying of a former Cape Coral resident and another woman in New Hampshire.

Timothy Verrill, 34, of Dover, New Hampshire was arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree murder for “knowingly causing the death” of Christine Sullivan, 48, and Jenna Pellegrini, 32, according to a release issued this morning by the Office of the New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster in conjunction with Farmington Police Chief John Drury.

Verrill was taken into custody by the Massachusetts State Police Fugitive Justice Team in Lawrence, Massachusetts on Monday and is currently being held pending his eventual return to New Hampshire to face these charges, the release states.

No other details were released.

The investigation into the double homicide began on Sunday, Jan. 29, when the Farmington Police responded to an emergency call at 979 Meaderboro Road in Farmington at approximately 3 a.m. Responding officers found the bodies of Sullivan and Pellegrini at the residence.

Both women had been stabbed multiple times and Sullivan also suffered “blunt force trauma” to the head, according to autopsy reports.

Sullivan was a photographer in Cape Coral for several years, specializing in portraiture and candid images captured from the local music scene. She also organized fundraisers locally, including one following Hurricane Sandy for victims of the storm.

According to an obituary posted by Hoffman Funeral Home in Long Branch, New Jersey, a Celebration of Life for Sullivan will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11,

at the funeral home at 415 Broadway. “The investigation into the circumstances surrounding Sullivan’s and Pellegrini’s deaths remains active and ongoing,” officials said in today’s release.
