Miloff earns top honor

3 min read

One of Jeff Miloff’s personal mottos is to “work hard, play hard.” He has done both during his 25-year career in the Southwest Florida real estate business.

It is that work ethic that helped him play a key role in merging two Realtor associations into one and ultimately him receiving the Faye L. Roberts Lifetime Achievement Award last month at the Realtors Association Installation & Awards Gala.

“It is a special award give out only one a year,” said Miloff. “It started about three or four years ago and it is named after someone who put in a lot of time and effort.”

Miloff just completed the first year of the new Royal Palm Coast Realtors Association as its president. It took more than a decade of work to get the Cape Coral Association of Realtors and the Greater Fort Myers Association of Realtors to agree on the terms of the merger. The Cape Coral group had about 700 members while the Fort Myers group had 5,500 members.

“I’m now past president,” he said. “It was an honor as a member of the smaller group to be chosen to lead the new large association through the first year. It took many years to convince both groups that we would be better off as one big group.”

Miloff has won awards before, like two-time Humanitarian of the Year by the Cape Coral Association in 2010 and 2015. He was named Broker of the Year in 2012.

He has served as president of the Association of Realtors, Realtor Association of Cape Coral, the Greater Fort Myers and Beach, and past president of the Cape Coral Association.

“It was a great opportunity given to me last year as president, and I learned a lot,” said Miloff. “It felt great to be a part of the merger and to give back to the community.”

Miloff, president of Miloff Aubuchon Realty Group, was selected to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award based on other factors besides the merger. He also implemented an internship program to give back to the community and he pulled together a charity event to help the Boys & Girls Club of Lee County.

“The Boys & Girls Club was struggling for money,” Miloff said. “We came up with a scavenger hunt idea that spanned 12 days and raised nearly $17,000 for the club.”

He is into other fundraising activities, too. He is a past president (2011-2012) of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwest Florida and continues to serve on its Board of Directors. He organizes a fishing tournament that benefits the organization’s programs.

“It’s a major fishing tournament,” Miloff said. “We managed to raise $75,000 last year and we’re getting ready to hold another one in June, my fifth one.”

Miloff met and partnered with Gary Aubuchon in 1999 to form Miloff Aubuchon Realty Group, which is now the top independent realty firm in Cape Coral and No. 3 in Lee County. His vision as a leader led to adding real estate offices and a total of five divisions that include commercial, property management and rental, building and design divisions. The firm now has more than 100 real estate agents in the group.
