The “first-ever” Cape Coral Outdoor Expo and Boat Show will be held this weekend – Dec. 2, 3 and 4. The event will take place at the German American Social Club, 2101 S.W Pine Island Road, Cape Coral.

“For many years people have been going to Fort Myers and up and down the Gulf Coast for boats, boating supplies and for their recreational needs,” event director Donald Ware said. “I thought we should bring an event here to Cape Coral, and Pine Island.”

“The Cape Coral Outdoor Expo will bring boaters and outdoor enthusiasts the latest in boating, kayaks, paddle boarding, ATVs, personal water-craft, scuba, cycling, water skiing and wake boarding, and even tennis and golf,” Ware said.

More than 65 vendors with boats from local and regional dealers and manufactures like Fish Tail Marina, Marine Max, Calusa Certified Marine, Eastward Boats and Seahunter boats will be participating.

“We will have the latest in all things outdoors, from kayaks and scuba to cycling and golf,” Ware said. “This will be a shopping paradise for boats and all things outdoors.”

In addition to the vendors, there will also seminarist and demonstrations.

“We are planning a number of free seminars from experts each day on boating, fishing, kayaking and sun protection from dermatologists,” he said.

Entertainment will be provided by Mike Imbasciani & the Bluez Rockerz and John Friday.

“We will have some of the best fresh seafood in Southwest Florida from Cape Coral’s Lobster Lady and Matlacha’s Old Fish House,” Ware said. “The Expo will offer happy hour on Friday 4-7, and Saturday 5-8 featuring a margarita and bloody mary bar.

“We expect a good crowd and Fish Ware Outfitters is giving away 200 T-shirts to the first 200 people that arrive each day,” Ware said. “There is something for every active lifestyle and budget. Vendors throughout the expo will be selling a wide variety of products and services and the expo is the perfect opportunity to find a great deal for the holidays.”

Hours are Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tickets are $5 for adults with children 10 and under free (accompanied by an adult).

There will also be free parking on the German American Club grounds.
