Rotino Roadshow, Antiques & Collectibles Fair Sunday
One person’s trash is another’s treasure, but anyone who thinks they might have some valuable antiques or collectibles lying around and perhaps gathering dust can take them to the Tony Rotino Center this Sunday, March 16, to have them appraised by a professional from Gannon’s Antiques & Art.
The annual Rotino Roadshow, Antiques & Collectibles Fair runs 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and appointments are highly recommended. The cost to have items appraised is $5 per item.
The fair is a fund-raiser for the Tony Rotino Center programs. Free coffee will be provided.
“People generally bring furniture, jewelry and artwork to be appraised,” said event coordinator Brenda Nixon. “One time someone brought in a full suit of armor. We’ve had old crank telephones and a 45 rpm RCA phonograph.”
Items appraised at the fair could be arranged for sale through the appraisers or taken home and sold however you see fit.
“People can call the Rotino Center to make an appointment even on the day of the event,” said Nixon. “The fair is usually well attended but we still have appointment slots available.
The Rotino Center ia located at the Cape Coral Yacht Club off of Driftwood Parkway in south?Cape Coral. The phone number is 574-0807.
