North Fort Myers man arrested on child pornography charges

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement Fort Myers Regional Operations Center Cyber High-Tech Crime Task Force arrested Jesus Salas, 29, of North Fort Myers, “for 10 counts of sexual performance by a child,” according to a release issued by FDLE Friday.

FDLE agents served a search warrant at Salas’ home at 2167 Twin Brooks Rd. Apt. B, North Fort Myers, and “located numerous digital images of child pornography,” the release states.

No other details were immediately reported.

Salas was booked into the Lee County Jail. The investigation will be prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney, 20th Judicial Circuit.

The FDLE Fort Myers Regional Operations Center Cyber High-Tech Crime Task Force consists of law enforcement officers from FDLE, Homeland Security Investigations and the Fort Myers Police Department. The Lee County and Charlotte County Sheriff’s Offices also participated in this operation.
