Cape Coral Police ask for public’s help in identifying burglary suspect
Cape Coral Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a burglary suspect caught on video breaking into a northwest Cape Coral home on Feb. 28.
Police were called to 2462 N.W. 22nd Terrace around 10 p.m. in regard to a burglary that had happened earlier that day.
Video surveillance from the home shows that at around 10:30 that morning, the suspect attempted to gain entry to the home through the glass sliders on the back lanai. Ultimately, the suspect gained entry through a window and removed over $4,000 in jewelry and cash.
Additional video surveillance shows the suspect leaving in a small gray sedan with tinted windows, possibly a Nissan Altima.
Suspect`s clothing from the video:
1.Gray Buffalo Bills sweatshirt.
2.Red jeans or pants.
3.Black athletic shoes.
4.Face covered with a hood / bag with cut outs for eyes.
5.Head was completely covered in the video.
6.The suspect appeared to be using a cell phone while on the rear lanai of the home.
