“We went all out this year for our inaugural Valentine’s Day event,” said Danielle Pierce, events and wedding coordinator for the hotel. “The ceremony has a finely decorated arch, chairs, an officiate, professional photographer: everything you need right there to tie the knot.”
A champagne brunch for two, with two breakfast buffets, complimentary champagne and a single long-stemmed red rose, is included in the cost of $250.
Although walk-ins are welcome, it’s better to reserve your spot by calling Danielle at 239-463-3111 or 239-867-8414.
* Traditionally, Valentine’s Day is the busiest day at the Clerk of Court Recording Office for wedding nuptials.
In 2013, 25 couples chose to get married in the Wedding Room at the Lee County Clerk’s Recording Office rather than a wedding chapel.
For a ceremony fee of $30 (in addition to the $93.50 for the marriage license) the ceremonies can be a cost savings and do not require months of planning.
The Wedding Room is usually available on a first-come, first-married schedule allowing 15-minutes for each event. In order to accommodate all couples wishing to exchange vows in the Wedding Room on Valentine’s Day, reservations are encouraged and advised.
Couples may also request to have the ceremony performed outside, in front of the old courthouse banyan tree, weather permitting. For an optional cost, Smart Start wedding packages are available include photos, a keepsake certificate and online wedding announcements on our website.
The Recording Office is opened between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is located in downtown Fort Myers on the second floor of the Administration Building, 2115 Second St., Fort Myers.
