Cape bridge traffic pattern changing
Beginning at 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, through 6 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, the westbound lanes at the Cape Coral Bridge toll plaza will be closed to traffic. Crews will be setting up barrier walls for a new traffic pattern.
Access to the Landings, Caloosa Yacht and Racquet Club and Magnolia Point will be maintained.
At 6 a.m., motorists can expect six westbound lanes to be open for their use. This final configuration includes lane 1 (adjacent to the administration building) as a dedicated LeeWay/SunPass lane, lanes 2, 3 & 4 as manned booths and lanes 5 & 6 as dedicated “open road” LeeWay/SunPass lanes.
Westbound traffic on College Parkway will have the option to stay in two left lanes for transponder customers only, or can use the three lanes in the middle as cash payments at manned booths. Traffic using the McGregor Boulevard on-ramp will continue to have the option of using lane 1 (LeeWay/SunPass only) or any of the three manned booths lanes.

Motorists are advised to use caution driving through the toll plaza, and to follow work zone signage and message boards.
