A Cape Coral man is accused of obtaining similar prescription drugs from multiple doctors – the second person charged in less than two weeks.

Paul John Zborovsky, 69, of 2139 S.E. 19th Place, was arrested and charged Sunday with 24 counts of fraud conceal information to obtain prescription.

As of Tuesday, he had been released from custody on $24,000 bond.

Zborovsky could not be reached for comment on the charges.

According to an arrest report, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office received information in February from the Renaissance Wellness Center in Fort Myers that a patient, Zborovsky, may be getting drugs from several physicians.

The center advised that Zborovsky was possibly obtaining prescriptions of similar controlled substances from multiple doctors in a 30-day period.

The drugs included Oxycodone, Soma, Xanax, Klonopin and Percocet.

The LCSO initiated an investigation and referenced Florida’s Prescription Drug Monitoring Program database to get Zborovsky’s medical records.

The investigation revealed that Zborovsky reportedly obtained similar substances within a month from more than one doctor without the doctors knowing. The instances took place from November 2010 to September.

According to the report, he used five doctors from four clinics.

Zborovsky first visited Southwest Florida Medical Solutions in Bonita Springs in 1995, then he was seen by the Renaissance Wellness Center in July 2009.

One month later, he had his first appointment with Dr. Leonard Harman. In April 2011, Zborovsky first visited the Hurricane Pain Clinic in Fort Myers.

All four clinics told authorities that Zborovsky did not report that he was visiting other physicians and obtaining prescriptions of like therapeutic use.

He was taken into custody and booked at the Lee County Jail.

Zborovsky has a court appearance scheduled for June 18.

In a similar case, Maxine Short Feliciano, 53, of 1419 N.E. Fifth Lane, was arrested and charged May 9 with 46 counts of fraud conceal information to obtain prescription. She has since been released from jail on $69,000 bond.

Feliciano is accused of getting similar drugs within a month from more than one doctor. The incidents took place from February 2010 to November.

According to a report, Feliciano used seven doctors from four clinics.

The substances included, but were not limited to, Oxycodone, Soma, Xanax, Clonzepam, Adderall, Oxycotin, Methadone and Suboxone, the report said.

Feliciano has a court appearance scheduled for June 11.
