ABATE’s “Bears for Bears” drive assists LCSO

1 min read

On Sunday, May 20, in recognition of National Motorcycle Safety Week, ABATE of Florida Inc., Southwest Chapter, organized its “Bears for Bears” stuffed animal drive. The stuffed animals were collected to be given to kids who have been involved in or present during critical situations. Members of Southwest Chapter ABATE, Bikers for Christ, Special Forces and the Latin American Motorcycle Association delivered several boxes of stuffed animals to the North Fort Myers Office of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. These stuffed animals will be supplied to deputies so they can be given to children that have been witnesses to violent acts, abuse, or involved in traffic crashes.

In a press release announcing the “Bears for Bears” effort, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office issued a public thank you to these organizations for their continued support of the Sheriff’s Office and the community.
