Controlled burn on SR 31 in NFM today
The Caloosahatchee Forestry Center will conduct a prescribed burn today, Dec. 21, at Camp Caloosa, 19931 State Road 31, Fort Myers.
The size of the burn is 20 acres.
Prescribed burns reduce the density of vegetation and the risks associated with catastrophic wildfire. Regular prescribed burns help ensure safety, promote healthy forests and enhance wildlife habitat.
