At about 10 p.m., a man was making plans at his home in the 1800 block of Southeast Fifth Place to go out for the night with Wright. Wright left stating that she had to pick up a few friends at a pool hall and would return shortly.

About 20 minutes later, the man was waiting in his garage for Wright when he saw the same vehicle that she had been driving drive slowly past his home and stop down the block. The man called out for Wright, but got no answer.

A man with a bandana covering his mouth then entered the garage from the side of the home. The man ran inside his house and yelled for his mother and her boyfriend to call 911.

The robber demanded money and the man threw $500 on the ground. The robber picked up about $230. The man then noticed that a second man was in his home pointing a handgun at his mother and her boyfriend. Both men fled.

The man saw both get into the same vehicle that Wright had been driving.
