Electronic equipment stolen from unlocked vehicle

A flight bag containing electronic equipment valued at more than $5,000 was reportedly stolen from an unlocked vehicle in southwest Cape Coral.
According to a report from the Cape Coral Police Department, someone entered a vehicle at a residence in the 5300 block of Southwest Second Place and took a bag that had several pieces of electronic items.
The owner told police that the vehicle was unlocked, and the incident occurred sometime Monday night.
The items reported stolen were a Sporty’s flight gear bag, a VFR bi-fold knee board, a Ram Yoke mount with a plastic base, a Ram GPS cradle, an Icom transceiver, two Garmin GPSs, two Quiet Technologies Halo headsets and two Sigtronics headsets. The total estimated valued of the items is $5,192.
Police observed no forced entry into the vehicle.
