Drinking water at Northwest Softball out of use due to equipment failure
The drinking fountains at the Northwest Softball Complex will be out of use until old well equipment and the chlorine pump can be replaced. Staff will post signs on the drinking fountains advising the public not to drink from the fountains. Restrooms will be available for use. The Northwest Softball Complex is off Chiquita Boulevard at 1030 NW 16th Place.
The city has a purchase order to replace the 1993 well treatment equipment and is working with a contractor to get the project completed within a week. Once Lee County Health Department has tested the water and given their approval, the fountains will be available for public use.
